Permission to engage in an activity other than that permitted under the status of residence previously granted: Article 19, Paragraph 2 of the Immigration Control Act
外国人が、現在の在留資格のもとで許可されている活動を行うことに加えて、収入を伴う事業を運営したり、報酬を受けたりしたい時に必要とされる許可です。例えば、留学生が、アルバイトをしようとする時です。
This permission is required when you would like to run a business or get a pay in addition to do an activity permitted under your current status of residence. For example, this permission is required when you are a university student and would like to work on a part-time basis.
